If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail

Too many leaders stick to the one playbook they know.
They force fit solutions.
Because it worked once, it will work again. Right?
I’m sure you see how hilarious that logic is.
But time and again, leaders default to this.
The result?
Brute force over diagnosis.
If this sounds familiar (and perhaps embarrassing?), what you are missing is range. A different vantage point to see from.
My career path has dovetailed with range.
I started in HR — where I learned people and behaviour.
Sales developed my sense of urgency.
Running businesses taught me ownership and consequence.
Operations gave me discipline and structure.
Product-market fit enabled me to communicate value concisely.
Customer experience? It keeps me grounded in empathy.
Each role rewired how I think.
Breadth of experience has changed everything. Atleast, for me it has.
You don't jump to conclusion. You don't jump to the solution. You spot patterns, pick your tools, and solve with intent.
That’s the power of range.
Because if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
If that sounds familiar, it’s time to build a toolkit.
